Our Club is planning an exciting fundraiser called SIX2 on Friday, May 4, 2012, from 5 pm to 9 pm at Podley Properties, 897 Granite Drive, Pasadena 91101. We will be working in concert with the Pasadena Educational Foundation (PEF) and the opening night of its 7th Annual NO BOUNDARIES Student Arts Exhibition at 455 South Lake Avenue, which is very nearby.
Our Club is soliciting donations of 6” x 6” artwork. The
Zonta portion of the proceeds will be shared locally and
internationally. On the local level, the event will benefit
art programs at Hillsides, a residential treatment center for
children in foster care or who are severely emotionally disturbed
and a community-based family service agency. Hillsides works
to end the cycle of child abuse that destroys children and tears
families apart. Loving care, therapeutic healing, special
education, family crisis intervention, and children’s rights
advocacy are at the heart of this agency’s mission. The funds
will also support international programs sponsored by Zonta
International. http://www.zonta.org
Please take this opportunity to make our first mini-art fundraiser a success by contributing one or more 6” x 6” artworks. We are hoping for broad participation from all ages, levels of experience, and varieties of media. By submitting your original artwork you agree that you are donating it for non-profit fundraising. Please share the information with friends who might wish to contribute and attend this event. This is a great opportunity to showcase your work and enjoy the whole collection when you attend this special event. Bring your friends, see both exhibits and help support some great causes with your purchases!
To donate art contact Wendy Cobleigh at president@zontapasadena.org. Donations needed by April 20th, 2012. Click the icon below for the specifications for art donations.
