ANNOUNCEMENTS

Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure Event

This is a project we signed up to do in honor of members of our club who are battling breast cancer. We have formed a team (called Zonta of Pasadena Honors Pam Robinson) to race in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure event. This event is a 5K race/walk and this year it is being held at Dodger Stadium on Sunday, March 14th from 8 am until noon. You can join us as part of the team (you will receive a t-shirt and a walker's bib in the mail) and/or you can make a donation to sponsor the team. Actually, there are many ways to support the cause, including a "Sleep-in for the Cure" option. Please check out the web pages linked here to see more details about the Race for
the Cure Event:

Google Offers Free Search to Nonprofits

Google, through its new Public Service Search section, is offering nonprofit organizations two free search tools for use on their Web sites: SiteSearch, for searching within sites, and WebSearch, enabling users to search the Internet by keyword. The new, cost-free service also offers traffic reports, unlimited queries, and allows for
customization, and no banner ads or other paid advertising will show on search result pages. For additional information and answers to FAQs, visit http://services.google.com/publicservice/login

Survey Online at Zonta International

The Zonta International and Zonta International Foundation Boards have established a Strategic Planning Task Force, consisting of members of the two Boards, to develop a plan for our future. We hope this plan will communicate our vision for Zonta International and the Zonta International Foundation, and outline the steps we will take to achieve that vision. It will guide us for the next five to ten years, although, of course, we will modify it as necessary. The plan will also help us as we look ahead to our 100th anniversary in the year 2019 -What kind of organization will we be? What will we have achieved as members and as donors? What kind of world do we envision for women and girls?

As part of our planning process, the Strategic Planning Task Force has developed an Online Member Survey to provide every Zontian the opportunity to participate in our effort to develop this strategic plan. This Member Survey is now accessible from the Zonta International Web site Home Page to those who have registered a unique User Name and Password with the Web site. If you have not yet registered with the Web site, now is an excellent time to do so! You will need your Zonta member ID number to register. This ID number can be found on the mailing label of your copy of The Zontian magazine, or contact your club treasurer, who can find it on the latest official club member list from Zonta International Headquarters.
