"In spite of world conditions, we know that a united womanhood the world over can do much to make dreams of youth come true and the vision of age a reality … Let us study the great problems which confront humanity today and do what we can in helping toward their solutions."

May Moyers McElroy, Zonta International President, commemorating Zonta’s 21st birthday

Zonta International is comprised of 1,200 clubs with 33,000 members in 67 countries. It is a service organization of executives in business and the professions. Since its founding in 1919 Zonta International has provided millions of dollars in scholarships to deserving young women around the globe. Because many people are denied fundamental freedoms simply because they are women, Zonta International works to make the world a safer, healthier and more equitable place for women through education, service and advocacy programs.

This chapter of Zonta International was established in 1929. Our membership consists of business and professional women from Pasadena and surrounding cities. The club meets for dinner on the first Monday, September through June. In addition to monthly meetings, members are urged to take part in volunteer programs already established in the community as well as projects that are club-initiated.
